Letter from the CEO
A message from Greg Brady, CEO and Founder of One Network Enterprises.
We have just concluded another successful year, which is rare given the financial crisis and downturn in the economy. We experienced an increase in both new engagements and sizable extensions, validating our broad solution set in the market place. Our client list grew significantly, as we signed on 16 new hubs representing 1000+ new companies on the network. We have now contracted with over 4,000 companies, representing millions of transactions a day as we enter 2010. We’re also proud to report that we drove our customer service levels to 99.997 percent this year, which is considered best-in-class for any cloud computing company. Furthermore, we increased headcount in both our sales and development teams.
Our lean operations and controlled, strategic growth yielded results that are surprisingly in line with companies of a much larger scale. This is a major achievement given the lackluster results reported by many of our competitors. In fact, we were able to generate a balanced mix of offerings comprised of both new capabilities for existing products and innovative new products for our customers across a wide variety of industries. Our business is now comprised of strong results across not only our SCM applications but also our development tools and business analytics suites. And true to form, our R&D efforts yielded new patent filings with more to come in 2010.
The year also marked our entry into the Energy and Climate Service Sector. Through our work with several industry leaders, we developed a solution set to help companies navigate the inherent encumbrances related to the world’s energy supply. This represents a significant growth opportunity for One Network, not to mention a rare opportunity for us to make a significant contribution to the sustainability cause. To drive our efforts on this front, we recently added to our team the former VP of Sustainability from one of our global competitors.
Our presence in the defense industry continued to grow exponentially, with projects consistently delivered ahead of schedule and within budget. Our competitive advantage in this sector is that we embrace not replace existing technology to enhance and add value to past IT investments. Capable of achieving results that are elusive to many of our global competitors, we have become one of the premier technology providers in this sector. The proven strength of our innovative technology, development tools, and cloud computing platform-as-a-service, as evidenced by our work with the United States Marine Corp. on their Ordnance Information System, has fueled our expansion in this area.
Our presence in the consumer products category was bolstered by significant new initiatives for existing customers as well as the addition of new customers. Our ability to measure implementation results in months –not years like most software implementations – produces the immediate results and faster ROI that makes One Network attractive to companies in this space. In fact, our results for one customer were exceptional enough to earn a significant industry award.
We also experienced growth in our core business of logistics by expanding our service offerings and our customer base, while creating new functionality for existing solutions. We added key functionality for 3/4PL providers as well as a global logistics solution suite. Our most significant event was the successful deployment of the industry’s first end-to-end network solution. By connecting transportation to other supply chain processes, this unique offering gives customers an unprecedented, holistic view of their entire value chain.
Given the momentum generated last year, and industry analysts’ predictions for a bounce back in IT spending, the outlook 2010 is very promising. Our agenda includes aggressively promoting our solution in the areas of planning, execution, and business intelligence as well as launching our new Developers Network and App Store.
Stay tuned!
